Wessex Radio Productions was founded in 1985 in Portsmouth by experienced broadcaster Roger Kennedy.  Over the years Roger has presented live and recorded programmes on a wide range of specialist topics, including Motoring, Business, Personal Finance, Consumer Electronics, Holidays, Legal Issues, Medical, and many more.  He has also been Head of Programming, Features Producer and Programme Controller at several different radio stations. This means he has built up a wealth of knowledge and experience. For example, for 15 years he produced and presented "Motortalk", a half-hour weekly all-speech motoring magazine programme that was broadcast on four different commercial radio stations. This included regular road tests on new models, advice on all aspects of owning a motor car from servicing and repairs to insurance, interviews with experts and manufacturers, as well as top F1 Racing and Rally Drivers.

And for 4 years Roger presented Decisionmakers, a weekly Business and Finance programme, covering all subjects to do with personal finance and running a business. Roger would get advice on the programme from top Bankers, Solicitors, Entrepreneurs and Politicians. Guests included such names as Alan Sugar, Richard Branson, William Hague and Tony Blair.

In 1990 we re-located to Newcastle upon Tyne.

Over the years Wessex has produced thousands of programmes and features commissioned by British Radio Stations.

We also produce audio features for companies looking to promote their products or services, either for broadcast and mailed to radio stations as free editorial, or copied onto CD or Cassette for direct marketing. Our latest venture is producing programmes for Companies to entertain and inform their staff, as well as instore Retail Radio.

We are still a small operation, but that means you get a personal service, dealing directly with the people producing your Audio production.

Although we are based in the North-East of England, with modern electronic communications there is no reason why we cannot service your needs no matter where you are !
